Refund policy
1. Nature of Service
1.1 datecheck provides digital investigative services conducted by a licensed private investigator. Investigative work may commence shortly after payment is received.
1.2 Because the service involves time‑sensitive research and professional labour, all fees become non‑refundable once the investigation has commenced, regardless of the final outcome or the information available.
2. Eligibility for Refunds

(a) We are unable to commence or complete the investigation due to circumstances outside your control; (b) A technical, administrative, or processing error prevents delivery of your report; (c) A duplicate order was submitted unintentionally.
2.2 Where a refund is approved, it will be issued to the original payment method only. Processing times may vary depending on your financial institution.
3. Non‑Refundable Situations
3.1 Refunds will not be provided where:
(a) You change your mind after ordering; (b) You provide incomplete, inaccurate, or misleading information; (c) The subject cannot be located due to incorrect or insufficient details; (d) The report does not contain the information you expected or hoped to find; (e) You disagree with the findings or conclusions of the investigation; (f) You request cancellation after investigative work has commenced; (g) You misuse the report or breach our Terms of Use.
4. Service Refusal and Misuse
4.1 DateCheck.au reserves the right to refuse service, cancel an order, or decline a refund request where misuse, fraudulent activity, or breach of our Terms & Conditions is suspected.
4.2 Misuse may be reported to relevant authorities where required by law.
